Lightbug, a creative and one of the most amazing photography workshop is back in Chandigarh for year 2016. Bringing a touch of expression through well handled experimentation and creative thinking, Lightbug promises to be one of its kind photography workshop in Chandigarh for all those who love to click. After holding successful workshops in 2014 and 2015, Lightbug photography workshop is all set to rock Chandigarh once again in April 2016.
Lightbug Photography Workshop
At Lightbug, each workshop is designed step by step and simplifies learning for beginners and amateurs of photography. The workshop enables the photographer to read and understand photography and create with artistic expression.
Lightbug’s vision is to conduct inspiring and knowledge filled workshops pan India in the coming years. They have designed modules for various types of workshops ranging from one day workshops, crash courses to 15 day extensive workshops. They also invite other photographers to conduct workshops in the field of their expertise.
Lightbug founders are not only designing workshops, but also creating a hub of knowledge and resource for photography enthusiasts. Lightbug becomes a platform for its students to showcase their work, give and take feedback and stay inspired. It is slowly becoming a community of photography enthusiasts.
The common aspects of the workshop include:
- Learning about the camera and gaining technical confidence.
- Interactive presentations exploring new topics and styles of photography.
- Creative tasks and assignments to develop creative thinking, personal styles.
- Curated artistic projects for artistic expression.

Each student is provided with a certificate on successful completion of the specific workshop. The student is able to build a portfolio and gets valuable feedback and guidance from mentors and peers.
Lightbug Photography Workshop (Chandigarh) April 2016
This is the third season of the workshop in Chandigarh. Lightbug has organized a lot of workshops in the past and had even organized similar workshops in Chandigarh during year 2014 and 2015. Details of Lightbug 2016 workshop are as under:
Dates: 11th – 20th April, 2016.
Time: 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm, Daily.
Venue: Sector 33, Chandigarh.
Eligibility: 16 years or above with a digital camera.
Fee: Rs.5000. (For entire 10 day course).
Certificate on Completion.

After a very successful beginner’s course, This beginner-intermediate creative photography workshop includes:
- Push your creative thinking with fun and inspiring projects to keep you going 365 days.
- Learn to capture effective photographs in any given situation.
- Learn about the role of storytelling and narratives in photography.
- Experiment with sequencing , series and photo essays.
- Useful reading material and presentations.
- Field trips and photo walks with on-field guidance.
Lighbug also has a basics crash course starting from 6th to 10th April, 2016. The fe for the same would be Rs.2000/- per student. This photography crash course is being held prior to the main workshop in order to brush up the skills or revisit the basics of camera and photography.
Lightbug Photography – Mentors
The workshop is led by Ratika Singh who is a noted photographer and a film maker; along with Vishakha Jindal who is again a well known photographer and an artist.
Ratika and Vishakha graduated from Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology. Their works have been showcased at Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Kala Ghoda festival, IAWRT Film festival and at various Art Galleries in Bangalore.
