NEET 2018 official notification cum information bulletin has been uploaded by the CBSE on its official website at cbseneet.nic.in online. Releasing some important points for candidates who are aspiring to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance examination this year on May 6, 2018 as NEET test, the one pertaining to the age limit with limited number of attempts granted has caught the attention of many.

The aspirants of the NEET 2018 exam are notified to ensure their age limit eligibility criteria for the medical entrance test to be fulfilled before applying online. The limited number of attempts granted to the students to pursue their undergraduate programme in MBBS, BDS etc. in medical colleges of repute via NEET 2018 is also a major cause of concern for many students. NEET 2018 | CBSE Official Online Notification On Age Limit Criteria

The age limit criteria set as one of eligibility criteria apart from the educational qualification set by the Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE for NEET 2018 exam. The minimum age limit for candidates aspiring to take this years’ NEET 2018 should be atleast 17 years. The calculation of the same is performed as mentioned in the official notice available online. The applicant should either be of 17 years or shall be turning the same this year on or before Dec 31, 2018 before gaining admission into the first year of MBBS/BDS undergraduate course.

Also, the upper age limit criteria for applying for NEET 2018 exam online has been restricted to 25 years on the day of scheduling the examination which is May 6, 2018. The aspirants apart from the revised code of conduct and lessons from last year has also restricted the number of attempts which a candidate can take for 2018 NEET test. Upper age limit of the medical entrance exam as NEET is 25 years with only three attempts being granted to such candidates before this age specified. Beyond this criteria, no candidate is permitted to take the National Eligibility cum Entrance exam shattering dreams of many students who have been preparing hard for the same.

Also, this forms an updated eligibility criteria as some candidates have been strictly debarred from taking the NEET 2018 exam. This includes those who have taken Biology & biotechnology as an additional exam in the NEET 2018 and the ones taking Class 12th exams from open schools or as private candidates.
