19 Year Old Leaves his 12th Exams & Commits Suicide in Chandigarh

Chandigarh is again shaken by the suicide of a 19-year-old boy who was found hanging in his room. This is the second suicide case in two weeks in Chandigarh that was a result of peer pressure and depression. The victim

The victim Akash was a class 12th students and was a resident of Khuda Lahora. He had earlier failed in his exam twice and was preparing for his English compartment exam.

Reason for the suicide

As per the police, Akash was alone in his room studying for the exam while his brother Sawan, was studying in another room. When the victim had not come out of his room for long, his brother Sawan tried to open the door out of suspicion. On breaking up the door, he found the victim hanging with a suicide note saying that could not take the pressure of failure and could not fulfill the dreams of his parent.

It is then victim’s brother ran to call his parents and the neighbors after which the Akash was taken to PGI hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.

Investigation initiated

The body of the victim has been handed over to the family while the autopsy report is yet to come. The police have started the further investigation in the incident and the case is registered at the Sarangpur police station.

Committing suicide is a coward step but to take up the challenges that life throws at you is what makes you a real hero.
