The Jeep has opened the bookings for its yet to be launched Jeep Compass SUV in India. The starting price of the SUV Compass has been set at Rs 15 lakh in India. The Jeep Compass will be the first “made in India” model of the Jeep American Automobile brand owned by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. The manufacturing process of the Jeep Compass will start at the FCA’s Ranjangaon plant in Pune.
The 2017 Jeep Compass India will be available for booking both online and at the authorised dealerships and the pre-booking amount will be Rs 50,000. With such a competitive price tag it looks like the new Jeep Compass will give the other Indian SUVs a tough ride.
2017 Jeep Compass India Price
The 2017 Jeep Compass will be available in India in two variants Petrol and Diesel and will be launched in the month of August this year most probably. The petrol variant of the compact SUV will be priced at Rs 15 lakh and the diesel variant will be around Rs 23-25 lakhs. With an affordable price and tremendous features, the new 2017 Jeep Compass can give all time favourite SUVs of Indians like Mahindra XUV 500, Chevrolet Trailblazer and Hyundai Tucson a tough competition for sure.
According to the sources, it is being speculated that the new 2017 Jeep Compass can ignite a price war among the already available cars in India in the same segment. Not only the general range cars from Tata and Mahindra like Hexa and XUV 500 will be affected dynamically by the launch of Jeep Compass but also the premium range cars like Honda CR-V, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q3 and BMW X1 would be greatly stirred.
