2018 KTM RC390 Fully-Faired Sportsbike Spied in India | Check out the Features and Other Details

New fully-faired KTM RC390 sportsbike has been recently spied in India but as per the report, the new bike doesn’t show any difference from the existing model. It has also been reported that KTM is expected to bring in changes in the new KTM RC390 based on customer feedback. Most of the improvements in the KTM RC390 are likely to come under the skin.

The new KTM RC390 has been spied without camouflage and one of the changes that are visible on the uncamouflaged bike are the tyres. Currently, the sports bike gets the Metzeler tyres that come as a standard fitment on the 2017 model.

The spied images of the KTM RC390 do not reveal much about the new sports bike but the spy shots reveal a little about the new bike. The tyres appear new in the bike but it is still not confirmed which tyres have replaced Metzeler.

Mechanical changes in the KTM RC390

In terms of mechanicals, the new KTM many not carry many mechanical changes.  Currently, the KTM RC390 carries the same engine that has been recently introduced in the 2017 Duke. The new sports bike is likely to continue with the same single cylinder 373cc, four stroke engine with liquid cooling and fuel injection.

The 373cc engine of the RC390 churns out a peak power of 44 Bhp and a peak torque of 36 Nm at 9,000 rpm and 7,000 rpm respectively. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox. For driving comfort, the bike also features a slipper clutch. The KTM supersport bike is recognized for its quick power delivery. The powerful engine of the bike gives it swift acceleration and formulates it to touch 0-100 Kph in just 5.5 seconds.

Power output, Features and expected price of the KTM RC390

ABS coming standard in the KTM RC390 and it also gets disc brakes on both the wheels for added safety. The sportsbike also gets a great suspension and offers a comfortable ride with gas charged rear monoshock and upside down front forks.

Most of these features are being offered in the current model and are likely to be carried over in the upcoming model. One of the changes that the bike may get is the LED headlamps. In addition to the LED headlamps, it may also come equipped with LED tail lamp and turn indicators as well. While the current model is priced at 2.34 lakhs, the new bike is likely to carry a similar price tag.
