Shimla will celebrate Christmas with no snowfall once again in 2017, as dry weather has been predicted. As per the latest prediction of Met Department, Shimla will get snowfall nearby Christmas 2017. Tourists who are willing to spend their Christmas in Shimla, will not be able to enjoy a White Christmas. Although last year, people enjoyed a Christmas with Snowfall in Shimla.
Although it has been expected that near about New Year 2018 Shimla may get a snowfall. So it may happen that tourists get disappointed in Christmas but, New year 2017 will be welcomed with a snowfall in Shimla. So for those who were planning a trip to Shimla this Christmas, better extend it until New Year 2018.
No White Christmas 2017 in Shimla as Celebrated in 2016
After 25 in 2016, Shimla celebrated a white Christmas as heavy snowfall covered the hill station. But as per the Met Department’s prediction, Shimla’s temperature will not be the same on Christmas 2017. As Shimla has been experiencing a rise in temperature these days, even the hill station is receiving a great amount of sunshine. With the dry weather condition, Shimla is also witnessing a rise in its temperature giving clue to no snowfall in Christmas 2017.
As during winter vacations, tourist head towards the lovely hill station Shimla just to spend a Christmas with real snowfall. But in 2017, tourists will have to wait for New Year eve to experience a good time with Snow at Shimla hill station.
Shimla’s Nights are Warmer than Chandigarh & Delhi
As Shimla is witnessing warmer days but the weather condition in areas like Lahaul- Spiti & Keylong is colder. As the temperature in the tribal places of Himachal Pradesh has fallen to minus degrees. Meteorological Department also recorded that the temperature at Nights in Shimla is warmer than Chandigarh, Delhi & Jaipur. On Monday itself Shimla recorded the highest temp with 11.5 degrees at night, whereas Chandigarh was at 8.3 degrees Celsius, Delhi was 9.6-degree Celcius & Jaipur was around 10.3 degrees Celcius.
So if you are expecting to experience a snowfall this Christmas (2017) & planning to go to Shimla, then drop your plan or extend it for 1 more week. As Shimla will be celebrating Christmas 2017 with Snowfall.
