The new generation 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been spied time and again testing on Indian roads and will be launching soon in the market. It was reported earlier that the new car will get crossover inspired styling which will give it a more rugged stance to compete with the compact SUVs like the Vitara. However, folks over at Cartoq believe that there are two different Maruti Suzuki Ertiga models in the pipeline.
One such model is the regular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga which will retain the plain and low profile playing the same value for money card. The other model will be targeted at the more enthusiast customers who are looking for an upmarket MPV for their family. This is the same model that is reported to be inspired from a crossover design language and will be more rugged than the regular Maruti Suzuki Ertiga.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga price in India and Launch Date
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will be showcased at the Indonesia International Motor Show which is scheduled from April 19-29. Pre bookings of the car have already begun in Indonesia while the Indian launch will happen sometime later this year. Another set of rumors suggest that only the regular model will be launched in 2018 while the more rugged Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes in later in 2019. Coming to the prices, expect Suzuki to increase the prices of the Maruti Ertiga marginally courtesy modern features like a touch screen infotainment system and standard safety packages.
