SSC CGL Exam 2018 | Tier 1, Tier 2 Pattern, Application Fee & Procedure To Apply

SSC CGL 2018:  Staff Selection Commission has started the online application process for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 exam. The online application started on 5th May and the last date for the SSC CGL 2018 Application is 4 June 2018. All candidates who are preparing for the CGL 2018 exam are advised to fill the application form on or before the last date. The SSC CGL 2018 Tier 1 computer-based exam will be held from 25 July to 20 August. The dates of Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 of CGL exam will be notified later.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam – Tier 1 & Tier 2 Exam Pattern

As known to everyone Staff Selection Commission Conducts the Combined Graduate Level Exam every year for various posts. The SSC CGL is conducted in four Tiers – Tier I, Tier II, Tier III and Tier IV. The CGL Tier I and Tier II are CBT exam (Computer Based Test). The Tier III of the CGL exam is a pen and paper mode (Descriptive paper). Tier IV includes Computer Proficiency Test or Skill Test and also Document verification.

SSC CGL Tier I: The SSC CGL Tier I exam has only one paper with total 200 questions. These questions are from General Intelligence, Aptitude, General Awareness and English. Each Subject will have 25 questions and the maximum marks for each subject will be 50 marks. The time duration for the Tier I exam is 1 hour. For each wrong answer, there will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks.

SSC CGL Tier II: The second Tier of the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam will have 4 papers – English Language and Comprehension, General Studies, Statistics and Quantitative Abilities. The Quantitative Abilities Paper will have 100 questions of 200 marks, the English Language will have 200 questions of 200 marks, Statistics will have 100 questions of 200 marks and General Studies will have 100 questions of 200 marks.

For each subject candidates will get 120 minutes. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in paper 2 of CGL Tier 2 and 0.50 marks negative marking for each wrong answer in Paper 1, Paper 3 and Paper 4. Paper 1 and Paper 2 are compulsory for all posts. As per Staff Selection Commission, Paper 3 will be for only those candidates who apply for JSO post. Paper 4 will be for only those candidates who are shortlisted in Tier 1 for the post of Assistant Account officer and Assistant Audit Officer.

SSC CGL 2018 Exam – Application Fee & Procedure To Apply

Application Fees: The application fees for the SSC CGL 2018 exam is Rs.100 for all candidates belonging to the OBC Category and General Category. There is no application fee for the Female category, SC category, ST category and PH category.

How To Apply: The online application Process for the SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2018 has started on the official website of SSC. Candidates can apply on the website www.ssconline.nic.in. Here is the procedure to apply online:

– First of all, go to the official website of Staff Selection Commission – www.ssconline.nic.in
– Fill the registration form. Enter all the details carefully.
– After submitting the registration form a registration number and password will be provided. Note them carefully.
– Now upload all the details, photograph and signature.
Pay the application fee and submit the form. Also, take a print out of the application form.
