Panjab University Chandigarh Issues 2018 Admission Guidelines | Check Important Instructions Here

Punjab University, Chandigarh has already begun with its online admission procedure for the academic session of 2018-2019 by rolling out the links for various undergraduate as well as the postgraduate courses. Recently, an official notification was released by the Punjab University which is inclusive of all the guidelines as well as the instructions which have been issued in lieu of the courses as well as the examinations for the upcoming academic session of 2018-2019.

It is expected from the students that the instructions will strictly be adhered to which have been formulated by the Punjab University. The circular also provides the University guidelines and also states that the list of the selected candidates along with the ones who have their names in waiting shall be displayed on the notice boards of the colleges prior to the commencement of the admission procedure of 2018-2019.

PU Admissions 2018-19 | Eligibility Criteria 

It should be noted that the examination which has been passed by the individual for higher education should be a recognition of the University. Also, only the students which are eligible for the admission should apply for the same for the desired degree or course. For the foreign students, it is necessary to obtain an eligibility certificate which shall be received from the General Deputy Registrar of Punjab University, Chandigarh.

The case of the gap year of any of the students needs to be guarded with the submission of a duplicate affidavit to the college or the university which will be in the effect that no kind of disqualification was done by the council, university or the college. Also, it should be noted that the students are not registered with the Punjab University beforehand only.

Seat Reservation for PU Admissions 2018-19 

Mainly it has been stated that two additional seats for one of the girl children out of the total two girl children each unit for the subject course and for the maximum number of 4. Also, an additional seat is reserved for the cancer patients, AIDS patients as well as the Thalassemia Patients.

Additional seats to a number of 2 have been kept for the students of the rural area and an additional seat for the students belonging to the Border Area above the seats which have been sanctioned by the teaching departments or the regional centers.
