7th Pay Commission has been responsible for many major salary revisions in past few years since its implementation. After the bill for incrementing the salaries of the supreme court and high court judges is passed by Lok Sabha, the hopes for the employees to evidence the salary hike has been fueled. In past 19 months, the government has jumped from one decision to another rapidly in context with the minimum pay hike under seventh pay commission.
7th CPC recommendations included the hike of the basic pay from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 21,000 and raise in the Fitment Factor from 2.56 to 3.00. This recommendation was put forth the cabinet by the 7th Pay commission 19 months back. This is very disappointing that it been almost a year & half and government of India is still unable to decide on the matter.
After Incrementing the Salaries of Judges, Are CG Employees Next?
Recently, one good news hit the government in which the Lok Sabha passed the recommendation of the pay hike of the Supreme and High court judges. At one end there are speculations that the increasing inflation in the country is restricting the government to implement the recommendation of 7th CPC to give a hike to CG employees, at another end the news has come that the Lok Sabha has passed the bill to increase the salary of judges by two-folds. With the confusion arising in the minds of central government employees, the anxiety is at the peak.
After the salaries of judges are increased, the employees are hoping to evidence the salary hike in the ongoing year. These hopes are even nurtured by the FM Mr. Arun Jaitley as he announced the formation of the new high-level committee to review the salary revision recommendation made by the 7th Pay Commission. Judges have already been announced to get the pay hike and the wait of the central government employees still continues.
Let’s see after the formation of the high-level committee will the recommended pay hike is implemented under 7th Pay commission or not? This is a very crucial decision and the facts are very viable. The hike for the central government employees has been delayed for a long period of time.
