7th Pay Commission | Minimum Pay Hike This Month?

As per the latest update, the government has still not taken any decision on the recommendation made by the 7th pay commission regarding minimum pay hike. However, there are some of the media reports that are suggesting that there is a possibility of basic pay hike this month. After so long since the official announcement was made stating “no minimum pay hike”, there is a flare of hope lighting among those 50 Lakh employees and the same number of pensioners after the media suggested the possibility of basic pay hike under seventh pay commission.

Minimum Pay Hike under 7th CPC this 15th August?

Unlike what half the media is shouting about, there is a good chance that on 15th August the minimum pay hike will be implemented under the 7th pay commission recommendation. To be exact, the words were “This 15th August PM Narendra Modi might make the announcement implementing the basic pay hike under seventh pay commission”.

While these media sources are shouting about this possibility, there is still one fact that says “no official announcement”. Yes! Although this news has lifted up the spirits of all the CG employees, still there has been no confirmation on this matter from the government. Still, the reasons behind this news are quite influential. It has also hit the media sources that this decision might be taken in the light of upcoming election in 2019, hence increasing the probability of the basic pay hike.

Just a Reminder –

7th pay commission has been really busy since past few months. Where the decision on its recommendation on the increment of the basic pay has been pending, various other recommendations made under 7th CPC has been implemented. Some of these include – basic pay hike for Maharashtrian employees, Dress allowance for the army soldiers and even salary hike for the guest faculty in the government colleges and schools.

Although there might be no official announcement on the matter of basic pay hike implementation under 7th CPC, still there is a fine chance of its implementation this month on 15th August. Let’s just hope that the government finally takes a decision on the matter.
