7th Pay Commission has put the matter of minimum pay hike on table 19 months earlier. In contrary to demands of the central government employees to increase the minimum pay from Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 26,000, 7th CPC recommended the hike for Rs. 21,000 only. After the recommendation was made to increase the basic salary of the employees working in various departments of the central government, the Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley promised them the increment. After so many ups and downs in the matter, it seems like Mr. Arun Jaitley is failing to keep his promise to the employees.
After Procrastinating the issue of increasing the minimum pay for 19 months now again our beloved Finance Minister has jumped from one decision to the other. Earlier NAC that is National Anomaly Committee was given the responsibility to review the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission and now the news has come that Mr. Arun Jaitley has planned to form a new high-level committee to recognize the recommendation of the seventh pay commission.

It seems like Finance Minister is playing drag game with central government employees, as it has been 19 months now and no decision has been taken on the recommendation of the 7th CPC for minimum salary hike. Also, with the news out regarding the formation of new high-level committee depicts the failure of the government to take a decision on the matter. It seems like the topic is being dragged to trash day-by-day.
Central government employees are turning furious with the delay in the decision of the government to increase the salaries. It is very disappointing to see that the Ministers of the country are unable to keep their promises and are not even able to take a firm decision on the matter. The lingering hopes of the 1 Crore CG employees and Pensioners are being played on by the government.
Where at one end false hopes are generated among them, there the flickering decisions of the government is bringing the hopes of the employees down. Let’s see what is stored in 2018 for the employees who are desperately waiting for the minimum pay hike under 7th Pay commission.
