7th Pay commission | NAC Meeting to be held on 7th October & Here’s How Pay Matrix Will Change

7th Pay commission has been putting its efforts in incrementing the minimum pay for the central government employees since last year. Finally, the matter of increasing the basic pay seems to be going the right way. On the continuous requests of central government employees and strong recommendation by the 7th Pay commission, NAC [National Anomaly Committee] has finally decided to meet on 7th October 2017.

NAC Meeting for 7th Pay Commission

The news is floating in India that NAC meeting is finally going to be held on 7th October 2017 regarding the basic pay hike matter. As a result of continuous recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission, finally, the good news of getting a hike in the basic pay seems to be coming true. As promised by Mr. Arun Jaitley last year, the proceedings will take place on 7th October and a final NAC decision will be reported to Public.

In the meeting for 7th pay commission, a hearing is going occur regarding the request of increasing the basic pay of the central government employees. Although there has not been any official announcement regarding the outcome of the meeting, still it is quite definite that the outcome is going to be positive as the majority of votes are in favor of the increment.

After the NAC meeting prepares the detailed report, the report on the recommendation of 7th Pay commission, based on the hearing will be passed to ECoS. The Empowered Committee of Secretaries will further process the report and finalize the decision on the basic pay increment and fitment factor.  After the report is verified and analyzed by the ECoS the report will be finally presented in front of the Union Cabinet by the end of January 2018.

The decision of Union Cabinet will pass by the coming January and the decision on the 7th Pay commission recommendation for basic pay hike will be officially signed and implemented.

Expected Decisions on 7th Pay Commission Minimum Pay Hike

7th Pay commission’s recommendation has finally pushed NAC meeting to be held on 7th October 2017. Although the decision is not out, still as per the sources the minimum basic pay is going to be incremented to Rs. 21,000 from Rs. 18,000 and the Fitment Factor will rise from 2.57 to 3.00. Also, the word has it that the benefits of this hike are not limited to the current employees, but will also affect the pensions of the retired officials in a positive way.
