7th Pay Commission Update | Salaries of NIT and IIT Faculty to Increase Next

Following the recommendations and actions of 7th Pay commission from the beginning of this year, there have been loads of decisions that are implemented and even more that are still pending. Being in news for hiking the minimum pay for central government on account of the continuing debate between 7th Pay Commission and government, there still has been no official decision. Recently, there has been a news that NIT and IIT faculty will also entertain the raise soon.

NIT, IIT Faculty to Get Raise | 7th Pay Commission

According to the sources, Amid reports have come out stating that the government is formulating the plan to implement the increment in the minimum pay of central government and is most likely including the faculty of NIT that is National Institute of Technology and IIT that is Indian Institute of Technology. This decision came upfront after the recommendation of the 7th Pay Commission.

The government is planning to implement the 16-20 percent of a hike for all the teachers working in IITs and NITs all around the country. Also, with this, the faculty of these institutes will evidence the salary hike between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 40,000 as per their position and ongoing pay scale. 7th Pay commission has been working really hard this year to bring some amazing changes in the pay matrix of the country. With HRD ministry on board, this pay hike for faculty of IIT and NIT will definitely go on paper soon.

Also, there has been a word floating that this decision will also be implemented by 1st January 2018.

NAC Meeting For 7th Pay Commission’s Recommendation 

There has been quite a fuss about the government delaying the decision to implement the minimum pay hike recommended by 7th Pay commission. Following the media reports, it has been said that the government has waved a green signal to implement the new advised and revised pay matric. In relation to this, NAC that is National Anomaly Committee is going to set a date to meet and decide the remaining sharp edges in this decision like how much hike and when it will be implemented. The report from this meeting will finally be submitted to the Union Cabinet, after whose signatures the implementation the new pay matrix will happen. This whole procedure is estimated to be complete by January 2018.

As far as the Pay hike is concerned, it has been making to the news that government is planning to increase the minimum pay to Rs. 21,000 and fitment factor by 3.
