Punjabi singer cum actor Gippy Grewal has now received the ransom call, after Parmish Verma from Gangster Dilpreet Dhahan Baba. Carry on Jatta 2 actor, Gippy Grewal has claimed that he got an extortion call from the same gangster, who has earlier shot Parmish Verma for the same. It seems after Bollywood, Punjabi industry has also been in focus for the gangsters.
Gippy Grewal’s Carry on Jatta 2 recently released in theatres with an amazing response from the audience. The day after its release only, Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal claimed of receiving an extortion call from the accused of Parmish Verma’s case.
After Parmish Verma, Actor Gippy Grewal received Extortion Call from Gangster
In the month of April 2018 only, Gangster Dilpreet Dhahan Baba shot Punjabi singer Parmish Verma on the way to Mohali. Even the accused has taken the responsibility on social media for the same and afterward has been booked by the Police. After 2 months of the crime, once again Dilpreet has been alleged by Gippy Grewal for calling him for the ransom amount.
Gippy Grewal on 2nd June 2018, lodged an FIR against Dilpreet Dhahan at Phase 8 police station for the same. Although some of the Police Officials said that as of now, there has been no evidence of the call, neither Gippy Grewal has provided them with any phone number associated with the extortion call worth Rs. 10 Lakh. Phase 8 Police have been investigating the case in deep, as after the attack on Parmish Verma, police has been on high alert with the celebrities.
Carry On Jatta 2 actor, Gippy Grewal now seeks Police Protection
Gippy Grewal has been busy in promoting his recently release Punjabi movie Carry on Jatta 2. In regards to the same, he has been travelling to various cities in Punjab. After the ransom call from the gangster, Gippy Grewal had a talk with the higher officials for providing him with the Police protection. As the gangster has threatened him to face the consequences if he denied paying the amount. Police have not taken any decision on the same, even it has been expected that Gippy Grewal will be staying Abroad for some days.
Punjab Police even has suggested the celebrities not to share their location on Social media. Also, the investigation in regards to Gippy Grewal’s case has been on and soon the reports will be submitted to the higher authorities.
