Air Deccan with its new name Simplify Deccan is now ready to make its second innings in the world of aviation and tourism. The airline has shocked everyone with its discounted air ticket costing just Re 1. Well, that’s not a joke! Air Deccan who has geared up to touch the sky again is offering air tickets at just Re 1.
The homegrown airline, Air Deccan is India’s one of the low- cost carriers started its operations in the year 2003. Air Deccan flown from the seven base airports across India to the domestic destination only before the airline got merged with the Kingfisher Airline in the year 2008.
Air Deccan to fly again under UDAN scheme at Re 1 fare
The airline, Air Deccan is relaunching its operations domestically in India under the Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN) scheme. The booking of the Air Deccan flight will start at famous Re 1 ticket fare on 22 December for a 40 minutes flight from Mumbai to Nashik. The famous Re 1 airfare is only for a few selected passengers who will get the chance to avail the flight tickets at the price of peanuts through draw of lot. However for the other normal passengers of the Air Deccan the fare of the air tickets will cost Rs1,400 approximately.
The government started UDAN scheme is introduced to connect smaller cities and towns across India and give people the opportunity to travel by air with the flight fares as low as Rs 2,500. The UDAN scheme is only applicable on the short run flights which are maximum of one-hour duration.
Route and timing of Air Deccan
The first flight of Air Deccan will take off on December 23, 2017, and will begin from bases at Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Shillong. Its flight routes will connect smaller cities of India. However, Air Deccan has not announced the timings of their flights but it will be soon made available online on its official website.
The operation of Air Deccan flights to Delhi from other cities including Shimla, Kullu, Dehradun, Pantnagar, and Ludhiana are in the pipeline. As for now, Air Deccan will operate to and fro flights between Mumbai and Jalgaon and between Nashik and Pune. The airline, Air Deccan will operate from Kolkata to Bagdogra, Agartala, Jamshedpur, Durgapur, Rourkela, Cooch Behar and Burnpur, Cooch Behar, Agartala, From Shillong base, Air Deccan will fly to Imphal, Agartala, Aizawl, and Dimapur.
