Airtel Rolls Out VoLTE Services – Know Reliance Jio 4G VoLTE Vs Artel 4G VoLTE

Bharti Airtel has launched its VoLTE services yesterday. Airtel launched its VoLTE(Voice over LTE) in Mumbai. The service will be available on all 4G phones supporting LTE with Airtel 4G sim. In a press release, Airtel announced this. There is no extra charge to avail Airtel 4G VoLTE.

Airtel 4G VoLTE Service Launched 

As of now, Airtel has launched the VoLTE services in Mumbai only. Airtel will launch its VoLTE services in rest of India in the coming few months. The LTE service will give HD quality calling to all Airtel subscribers. By the end of March 2018, Airtel VoLTE will be launched in pan India. With Airtel VoLTE it will become easy to all customers to continue data service during a call.

Airtel 4G VoLTE Vs Jio 4G VoLTE

Up to now, Reliance Jio 4G is the only telecom operator in India who is providing VoLTE services to its customers. But from now Airtel is also in the list of telecom operator who is providing VoLTE services. Jio was launched a year back and from that time Jio is giving free calls to its users. All telecom operators launched similar packs to match the tariff plans of Jio. Jio Plan 399 the favourite plan of all Jio customers. In Plan 399 of Jio, Jio is giving Unlimited VoLTE calls to anywhere in India including outgoing in roaming. Airtel Plan 399 also giving same benefits but without VoLTE calls.

How To Activate Airtel 4G VoLTE

To activate VoLTE, first, you need to check whether your phone is compatible for VoLTE or not. To check your phone compatibility you need to visit www.airtel.in/volte. Here you can check the compatibility of VoLTE on your phone. List of all devices supporting VoLTE is available on the website of Airtel.

You need to upgrade the mobile software to the latest version that supports VoLTE.

Most importantly, you need an Airtel 4G sim to use Airtel VoLTE services. If you don’t have 4G sim then you can get it or upgrade it to 4G sim from the Airtel Store.
