Ambedkar University Delhi Releases First Cut Off List For UG Courses

The Ambedkar University of Delhi has issued its first cut off list for the Under Graduate courses. The cut off list has been released under two sections one for the National Capital Territory(NCT) students and the other for the non NCT applicants. The cut-off percentage for the non-National Capital Territory students is 100% who are from the Science and Commerce streams with a major in subjects like Sociology, Psychology and History. The admission process of the Ambedkar University will start from July 6, 2017.

Ambedkar University, Delhi: First Cut Off List

The AUD or Ambedkar University Delhi released its First Cut Off list yesterday for 2017 admissions in UG courses in Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Humanities, Social Science, Maths and English. Lets checkout what this years AUD’ first cut off list has for its candidates:

  • Non-NCT Commerce students now need to have 100% marks for BA Hons
  • Non NCT Science students with Sociology major will need 100% score as well for BA Hons
  • Arts student’s cut off percentage is 4-5% lower than the Science and Commerce ones
  • For NCT students cut off for Science, Commerce & Arts is from 88.75% to 93.75%
  • For Economics its 88% and Mathematics is 93% which is less than DU

Students who fall in the non NCT category might be facing tough situation as the Ambedkar University has outdone the Delhi University in its cut off list percentage of 100% marks. The Ambedkar University did away with  cut off list system last year and decided to only release merit list for the candidates. But this year it has again decided to go with the cut off list system. In comparison to the 2015 cut off list of the AUD the subject wise percentage has seen some changes:

  • History has seen a rise of 6.5% for NCT students & 1.5% for non-NCT
  • Maths has seen a rise of 3% for NCT & 4.5% for non NCT
  • Sociology has seen increase of 3.5% for NCT & 1.5% for non NCT
  • Psychology has seen minor rise of 0.25% for NCT & 0.5% fro non NCT
  • English has not seen any changes except for the non NCTs it has decreased by 1.5%
  • Cut of for NCT Arts students is now 88.75% with economics major
  • For SC category it has gone up by 5.5%
  • For non NCT cut off has risen by 1.25%

Ambedkar University, Delhi: Admissions

Ambedkar University of Delhi has reserved 85% seats for the state students. The University will start its admissions at the Karampura campus and Kashmere Gate from July 6 to 8th. The University has kept 445 seats for the UG courses, 200 seats at the Karampura campus and 245 seats at Kashmere Gate campus. The University will release its Second Cut Off list on July 10, 2017, Third on July 14, 2017 and Fourth on July 6, 2017.
