The powerful and robust, 280 CC beast, UM Bikes, has opened its store in the city. The America- based UM International, LLC  joined hands with Lohia Two Wheelers Pvt. Ltd to foray into the market of Punjab. The brand has come up with its dealership outlet in the state’s capital Chandigarh.

The UM motorbikes dealer showroom in Chandigarh is spread across a total of 2200 sq. ft including 1500 sq. ft of the area for sales & service support. Apart from this, customers can avail the entire range of UM merchandise as well as the accessories. The company has also announced its 24×7 Roadside Assistance Programme(RSA) to its customers across the city.

Stepping stones in India

The America- based UM motorcycles forayed India with the Auto Expo in Delhi last year. As per the initial list of dealership network, UM aims to have 25 dealerships in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Imphal, Aizawl, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Kochi.

Deliveries for the first 1000 bikes started from May last year while the bookings for the bikes commenced at the Auto Expo where they first participated.
