The famous off-screen and on-screen couple of Golden Era, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachhan are back ! Yes, unbelievable but true. Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, the man behind the success of Piku, in his upcoming flick has confirmed “Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan” to play together as the main leads in his next movie.
Though Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were seen quite a few times playing a ‘cameo‘ thing in some movies in past few years like in the movie Ki & Ka (2016) and in Ganga Devi (2012) which was a Bhojpuri movie. But this is after 16 years after being cast together after Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (K3G) movie that the duo would play a full fledged role as main leads in a movie.
Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan’s onscreen jodi is back
Married in the year 1973 and after doing half a century movies together in the years when Hindi Cinema wasn’t even known as “Bollywood“, the star couple have always carved a niche for themselves whenever they have acted together or opposite in a movie. In all enthusiasm to re-create their chemistry on screen again in their upcoming flick of Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, the famous ‘jodi’ of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan would surely mark the era of ‘reunited times’ which is happening after sixteen long years.
We love them together and surely the upcoming movie in which they would be playing an on-screen couple would need no branding and marketing or promotions because the “Star couple” Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan is already a huge “Brand” in itself.

Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar is known to make movies that has substance. The statement could be corroborated from the fact that his previous movies were a big big hit which included Amitabh Bachchan starrer Piku. In his next, the finalisation of star cast Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan as the aged couple married for at least 40 years’s journey has been depicted. Sharing their life journey of being married for long and sharing their old age together with the duo Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan do not fear death but the fact that what would the other half do if one of them is parted away by death.
The saga is going to be a beautiful one with lots of emotions involved. Such unspoken ones have been depicted before in movies like Baghban and Piku. Let us see what this unnamed and untitled movie as of now has in store for us.
All we love now is the fact that we would get to see the “golden couple” from the “golden era” – Amitabh Bhachchan & Jaya Bachchan to recreate their charm and chemistry encore on the curtains !!!
