The Golden City- Amritsar (Punjab) is all set to get a replica of Lahore Food Street soon in the town. Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amrinder Singh has announced to come up with a Lahore type food street in Amritsar. Punjab CM visited the town during a food festival & gifted the Amritsar Food Street to the residents as well as the tourists. Whereas it has been expected to start within 6 months in Amritsar town.

Amritsar to get Lahore Like food Street | Know Details

Recently Capt Amarinder Singh (CM of Punjab) attended the Food Festival in Amritsar & during his speech, he initiated & suggested Navjot Singh Sidhu establish a Lahore like Food Street in Amritsar. With the aim to give the tourist a perfect Amritsari taste with a different variety of food under one roof. And within a  minute, Navjot Singh Sidhu agreed to the proposal & assured the CM to finish the same within 6 months from now.

And the replica of Lahore Food Street in Amritsar will be executed in the Town Hall locality, that will serve the unique local flavours. As Amritsar has been the major tourist destination, Punjab’s cuisine will add more charm to the name of the city with the increment of the tourist’s footfall. Although the same has been initiated by SAD-BJP Govt also but it seems to be a failure.

Along with the announcement of Amritsar Food Street, CM has also made many announcements regarding the Attari border. Here’re some announcements made by the CM in terms of the development of Attari border near Amritsar-

  • Rename of Attari Railway Station.
  • PSEB & NCERT to introduce a new chapter depicting the bravery of Attariwala.
  • Govt to take promotional initiatives for the Attari village.
  • Rs. 10 Lakh has been sanctioned for the development of Attariwala museum & sports infrastructure.
  • Annual sports event to be organised at the Sarovar site.
  • Attari village to be made Wi-Fi zone for the visitors.
