Andrew Ayre, British Deputy High Commissioner Chandigarh Visits Chitkara Incubator

Andrew Ayre, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh, today visited Chitkara Innovation Incubator Foundation at MDC, Chandigarh to interact with the young startups and witness the work culture here at the Chitkara Innovation Incubator.

During his short visit, the British Deputy High Commissioner not only witnessed the work culture at the incubator but also scrutinized the vision of the young Chandigarh-based start-ups. Andrew Ayre interacted with the founders of the startups as well as their teams to understand their trade better. Andrew Ayre had been specially invited by team CEED to interact and motivate the young startups besides enlightening them about the competition and opportunities from a global prospect.

Ayre took a tour of the whole Chitkara Innovation Incubator and appreciated the initiatives taken up by the startups. He met various young entrepreneurs who are working in different sectors and was impressed by their unique projects. The entrepreneurs apprised him about their future goals while sharing their stories behind venturing onto the entrepreneurial voyage.

The British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh Mr. Andrew Ayre met Sd Fine arts’ team, It Matic team, Chandigarh Metro.com’s team, CAN, azuratech and few other startups in the Chitkara Incubator. Sd Fine arts, an art startup from the region gifted him one of their customized art works – an idol of Lord Ganesha that left the guest overwhelmed. Andrew Ayre shared some light moments with Sumeer Walia, director, CEED over a Table Tennis match here inside the Incubator premises.

Three innovative projects that Aniket Bhardwaj shared with the Andrew Ayre left him amazed. “I am amazed to see the potential and caliber these young entrepreneurs here possess at Chitkara. These youngsters are not just innovative but they hold a lot of vitality and passion for their startups. Their initiatives verify that the future of innovation in India is indeed bright,” said Andrew Ayre, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh.

While expressing his gratitude Andrew Ayre concluded, “It was one of the memorable visits of my life that has made me richer in terms of knowledge. There is no denying the fact that the present generation thinks out of the box, but what inspired me, is the realization that these youngsters are ready to take risks in life to make their dreams come true.”
