APJ Abdul Kalam, former president of India died at Bethany Hospital in Shillong. He was rushed to the hospital after he collapsed while delivering a lecture at IIM Shillong. APJ Abdul Kalam was 83 years old. The news of his death comes as a shock to India as the country has lost its ‘Missile Man’ and the best space scientist.
How APJ Abdul Kalam Died?
It was around 6:30 PM in the evening when former president Abdul Kalam suddenly collapsed and fell on the ground while taking a lecture for IIM Shillong students inside the institute premises. He was standing on the stage and seemed absolutely fine. Abdul Kalam was immediately rushed to the Bethany Hospital.
According to the reports, he suffered a major cardiac arrest and was admitted to the ICU. Bethany Hospital’s director ‘John Sailo Ryntathiang’ later told reporters that APJ Abdul Kalam was almost dead when he was brought to the hospital. They immediately put him on oxygen and tried to revive him. However all efforts failed and our scientist, Mr. Abdul Kalam passed away.
His body will be brought to New Delhi on Tuesday morning.
