Audi Q5 New 2018 Model Launching In India on January 18th | Know What All Will Change

Audi is all set to launch the Audi Q5 in India on the 18th of January early next year. With the launch of Volvo XC 60, Audi too has given a refresh to its popular SUV for the Indian market ensuring it does not get left far behind. The move comes at a time when the rumours of BMW X3 India launch are doing the rounds as well. We have already seen the India bound Audi Q5 at the Paris Motor Show in 2016 and we tell you what is going to change.

What is going to change in the 2018 Audi Q5?

The Audi Q5 is based on Volkswagen’s MLB-Evo platform and expectedly the main concern of every car maker with ever generation has been achieved here – that is he car is now 90 kilograms lighter than the model currently on sale in India. The personality of the original Q5 has not been changed and this Audi model too gets its own share of cuts and creases. Coming to the inside it is a big step up with the interiors resembling the larger Q7 flagship SUV by the company.

The cabin is a lot more premium and the equipment list has further been enhanced. The Q5 gets Audi’s new MMI system which comes with Apple Carplay and Android Auto as expected but also gets the full library of Amazon’s music service. The centre of attraction on the Audi Q5 is the virtual cockpit behind the steering wheel which is complemented perfectly by the large 8.3-inch infotainment display. The engine options on the Q5 are expected to remain the same as of the previous generation.

Price and Launch of the Audi Q5 in India:

The Audi Q5 is touted to be launched on the 18th of January, 2018. When launched in India, it will compete against the latest Volvo offering – the XC60 which is probably their safest car to date. However, Audi has been able to dominate Volvo and BMW when it comes to the sales and the same is expected to continue with the Q5 as well. Expect the car to be priced at 48 Lakh Rupees in India when launched.
