Finally, German carmaker Audi has introduced the petrol engine version of its premium SUV the Audi Q7 in India today. Until now, the flagship SUV Audi Q7 was only available in a single diesel engine option but after the launch, Audi SUV lovers will now have an added option. Audi Q7 with the diesel engine debuted in the Indian market in 2015. Since Audi Q7 launch in India, the addition of petrol trim in the Q7 line-up, is the first major addition to the Q7 range.

According to reports, the Audi Q7 will get its power from a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that will churn out 249bhp of power and 370Nm of turning force. The power of this powerful engine would be channeled to a quattro all-wheel-drive system. The petrol engine has been mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission that is capable of yielding the best power and mileage of this latest edition in the Q7 line-up.
The 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine of the newly launched Audi Q 7 petrol churns out 252 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. The power of this powerful engine makes the Audi Q7 petrol reach 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. The Audi Q7 petrol reaches the 100 km/h in less than 7 seconds is because of the Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive system.

This major change will put the petrol variant of the Audi Q7 in a price range of around Rs 75 lakhs. The Audi Q7 (petrol) would compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLS400, the BMW X5 xDrive35i, and the Land Rover Discovery HSE Luxury petrol variant.
