Auto Expo 2018 will be here soon and Indian car enthusiasts look forward to the month of February to satisfy their desires to witness their favorite cars from around the world. Well, we have a sweet couple of months left yet but the good news that we bring to you is that we have the exact dates of Auto Expo 2018 so you can officially start making your plans for Delhi next year. The event will take place from the 9th to 14th of February 2018. The motor show will be held at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida from February 9-14, 2018 while the components show will take place at Pragati Maidan.
Origin Of Auto Expo Event
The show made its debut in 1986 with the then Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi taking up the nine-day event. The show is organized jointly by the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).
Exact details of the Auto Expo 2018
The show is divided into two parts:
It is the largest motor show in Asia and the second largest show in the world. The show is held every two years with the last event be organised on the 5th to 9th February 2016. Auto Expo 2018 – The Motor Show will start from 9 Feb 2018 and will end on 14 February 2018 (at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida)
Auto Expo 2018 – Components: scheduled from 8-11 February 2018 (at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi)
However, the joint inauguration of Auto Expo 2018 will be held on February 8.
This time the Motor Show will be spread across the 1,85,000 sq.metres and the Auto Expo 2018 will continue for 6 days. Besides the usual plethora of vehicles showcased, this year’s motor show will also feature special zones for visitors such as Innovation Zone, Destination Zone, Smart Mobility Zone and Competition Zone.
Auto Companies in Auto Expo 2018
Renault has already announced its plans for showcasing a new electric sports coupe which will be a two-seater and 4.2m metres in length. Maruti is also expected to showcase the S-cross facelift at the Auto Expo in Delhi next year. More than 100 auto brands showcase their products at auto expo each year. Abarth, BMW, AMG, Volvo, Audi, Suzuki to name a few.
