SS Rajamouli’s Bahubali 2 box office collection has brought the Indian cinema by storm with its record-breaking success in India and worldwide. Though, the movie Baahubali 2 has made an impactful journey from its shooting till its screening in domestic and global market, but Indian film producer Anil Sharma doesn’t agree with the fact that Bahubali is worth all this appreciation.
Gadar Box office collection Vs Baahubali 2 Box office collection
As per the statement gi ven by Anil Sharma, Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali 2 has done no wonders by earning the box office collection of Rs 1500 crore that too worldwide. He had mentioned that the 2001 released, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer Gadar: Ek Prem Katha made the box office collection of Rs 265 crore. At that time, the movie tickets for theatre screening were of around Rs 25, which if calculated in today’s time would come out to be Rs 5000 crore.
No records broken by Baahubali 2, says producer Anil Sharma
Therefore, Sharma believes that Baahubali 2 has not made any record breaking revenue till date to celebrate and make merry about. His statement has shocked everyone for sure and had taken social media by storm where every Baahubali fan is criticising Anil Sharma of making comparison between two epic Bollywood film of separate eras.
What more Anil Sharma said about Baahubali 2
The Indian film producer, Anil Sharma had said these things while answering to the questions raised by the media during the muhurat of his next flick ‘Genius’ in Mumbai. Via his upcoming movie Genius. his son Utkarsh Sharma is making a comeback into the Indian cinema after a long time. Utakarsh was a child artist and had earlier played the role of Sunny Deol’s and Ameesha Patesh son Jeetey in the movie Gadar.
Well, that is the personal opinion of the Indian film producer Anil Sharma who had given Bollywood superhits like Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Apney and many more. But the truth is that the audiences have enjoyed both the films Gadar and Baahubali 2 a lot and they are incomparable as both created a history in the Hindi film industry in their own era of making and release.
