Bajaj Dominar is the company’s latest flagship offering for customers who want a powerful bike at a reasonable price. The macho bike was spotted recently in the gloss red colour and it seems that bajaj will launch the bike in the new colour. The gloss red colour is similar to that of Pulsar CS400 showcased in the Auto Expo 2014. At present, the bike is offered in matte black, midnight blue and moon white colour. The Matte Black colour was offered in the special edition of the bike.
Bajaj Dominar was launched in 2016 but it failed to make an impact on the Indian market that the company expected from it. While it was the most anticipated product of Bajaj Auto, it did not meet the company’s expectations in terms of sales. The leaked image of Dominar 2018 in red colour was taken at the Bajaj manufacturing unit at Chakan. The image shows the bike in candy red colour with silver colored side panels and grab rails.
Bajaj Dominar Racing Red Colour
Bajaj Dominar is the company’s most powerful motorcycle that is perfect for long routes and touring. But the flagship bike has still some scope for improvement. Dominar was also launched in Burgundy colour in December 2016, but the colour option was discontinued in early 2017. Bajaj is likely to introduce the new racing red colour in the Domiar special edition just like the Matte black colour edition.
Bajaj Dominar 2018 Specifications
The mechanical components and engine configuration of the bike will remain same. Bajaj Dominar 2018 will be powered by the same 373.2 cc liquid cooled fuel injected engine that churns out a power of 34.5 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six speed transmission gearbox. It is based on the Bajaj Pulsar CS 400 concept. Dominar is the company’s first bike to have innovative features like slipper assist clutch. On the safety front, the bike comes with front and rear disk brakes with ABS (Antilock Braking System).
Though the company’s flagship bike has not impressed the Indian customers to much extent, Bajaj Dominar has won the 2018 CNB motorcycle of the year award this year.
