Bajaj Platina ComforTec Launched in India | LED Daytime Lights, Higher Mileage & More

Bajaj Auto has launched the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec in India. The domestic two-wheeler maker has launched the updated variant of the Bajaj Platina at an attractive price of Rs 46,656 (Ex showroom). The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec gets attractive features such as the LED Daytime Running Lamps, delivers higher mileage and offers better comfort. As per the Bajaj Autos, the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec is offering more features as compared to other bikes in the segment.

Features in the newly launched Bajaj Platina ComforTec 

Home-Grown two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has launched the upgraded version of its 100cc motorcycle Bajaj Platina. The commuter motorcycle Bajaj Platina was a hit on the Indian roads due to its mileage and the upgraded variant – the Platina ComforTec, that has been launched in India at Rs 46,656 (ex-showroom Delhi) is all set to further boost the sales of the two wheeler.

The new Bajaj Platina ComforTec comes with host of cosmetic changes. Bajaj has also claimed that the LED Daylight Running Lights (DRL) that has been included in the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec is one of the changes which is being introduced for the first time in the 100cc-150cc segment bike in India.

With the addition of the DRLs the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec will consume lesser power (as much as 88 per cent less). In addition to lesser power consumption, the new Platina ComforTec will deliver higher mileage as compared to other competitors in the segment.

The new feature, DRLs in the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec, has eliminated the requirement of Automatic Headlamp On (AHO). As per reports, the AHO consumes more power from the battery of the vehicle as the headlight is always kept on. The LED feature that has been introduced in the new Bajaj Platina ComforTec will save about 88 per cent power.

Better suspension and more features in the 100cc Bajaj Platina ComforTec 

The company has also claimed that the upgraded Bajaj Platina ComforTec, is a superior product. It further stated that with a first-of-its-kind technology has been introduced in Bajaj Platina ComforTec which reduces 20 percent jerks in any commuter bike in the100 cc motorcycles segment.

Besides the suspension and LED feature, the new Platina ComforTec also gets a redesigned analog instrument cluster. The new Platina ComforTec is the most affordable bike in India that is loaded with features.

More mileage and better comfort

The new Platina ComforTec does not get any mechanical updates. The new Platina ComforTec will get the same 102cc DTS-i engine. The unit will come mated to a four-speed gearbox that would produce 9PS and a torque of 8.3Nm. As per the company, the new Platina ComforTec is poised to offer a fuel efficiency of over 100kmpl.

The new Bajaj Platina will be available in a single trim option. This variant will get electric start option, alloy wheels and DRls as a standard fitment. The new Platina ComforTec will come with black and red color options.

The new Platina ComforTec will compete with the likes of the Hero HF Deluxe, Honda CD 110 Dream, TVS Sport and the Yamaha Saluto RX.
