Bank Chor (Story, Cast, Songs & Movie Review) | Riteish Deshmukh & Vivek Oberoi

Bank Chor, the Bollywood film released on June 16 and got positive reviews. The comic thriller is directed by Bumpy marks the feature writing debut of Baljeet Singh Marwah and is produced by Ashish Patil, head of Y-Films, the youth wing of Aditya Chopra’s production and distribution powerhouse Yash Raj Films. Bank Chor also stars Vivek Oberoi, Rhea Chakraborty and Sahil Vaid.

Those who have watched the trailer of Bank Chor or caught any of its promos (there have been way too many) would not be surprised by the tongue in cheek tone of the soundtrack. Kailash Kher wrote and composed song ‘Hum Hain Bank Chor, starts with a parody of the ‘Bande Hai Hum Uske’ verse from Dhoom 3, and generously throws around the bank chor phrase pronouncing it the same way the expletive it resembles. Bank Chor Story

Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Anand Oberoi and Rhea Chakraborty all 3 morons play dimwits who attempt to rob a bank in Bank-Chor, a Hindi film which aims to push the boundaries for 16D and the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality formats. They pick the worst day possible when everything that can go wrong, goes wrong. Later on, all 3 robbers are inadvertently caught in the crossfire.

Since 2004, when Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi’s came together with a super-hit comedy film Masti, their friendship have always been the talk of the town. Now, after 13 years, they are coming up with Bank Chor, where the friends will be playing the role of police (Vivek Oberoi) and thief (Riteish Deshmukh). Film Bank Chor is based on a short film that Baljeet had written in early 2000 about three idiots trying to steal some money to make a film and how things went wrong.

Our review for movie Bank Chor is that it would be comedy hit movie. The Great Grand Masti duo is back with a bang! The Jodi of another ‘Amar-Prem’ (First being Aamir and Salman in Andaz Apna Apna) is all set to tickle our funny bones in Yashraj banner’s comedy flick; Back Chor.  But, the difference is, here Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi are on the opposite side.
