The first ever live Indian singing reality ‘Rising Star’ has got ‘Bannet Dosanjh’ as its winner after a great celebration of Grand Finale. After entertaining millions of audiences for months in Colors Channel, Bannet Dosanjh won the title of ‘Rising Star’. A unique concept show, which engages the live audience as citizen judges to judge the participants. Bannet Dosanjh becomes the winner of ‘Rising Star’, after competing with Delhi’s Maithili Thakur and Bengaluru’s Ankita Kundu in the Finale. Bannet Dosanjh fought for months and competed with millions of aspiring singers to be the first ever ‘Rising Star’ of India.
Rising Star Winner Bannet Dosanjh
First of its kind singing reality show of Colors ‘Rising Star’ has winded up when the live audience chose ‘Bannet Dosanjh’ from Punjab as its winner. In a grand event, along with judges Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur and Diljit Dosanjh, Superstar Anil Kapoor was also present.

Bannet Dosanjh beats Maithili Thakur in a very close competition on the grand finale event of ‘Rising Star’. Bannet impressed the audience with his singing and got 77% of votes, whereas Maithili got 76% of votes in their final battle of ‘Rising Star’.

The winner of Rising Star Bannet Dosanjh, who belongs to the native place of Diljit Dosanjh not only a singer but also a huge fan of Diljit Dosanjh. He always dreams to be like Diljit Dosanjh and consider him as his inspiration. Bannet has always impressed the viewers with his singing and got appreciation from the judges as well. On the day of the grand finale of Rising Star, a live video call was made to his native place which also made Diljit Dosanjh excited. According to Bannet, just a geography connection is not the only factor, but his talent and audience support have made him the winner of Rising Star.
