As per the official notification released by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, there are total 38 vacancies for the post of Safety Officer. For the POwer Sector Southern Region, there are total 29 vacancies. Out of these 29 vacancies, the tenure of 27 vacancies is 2 years while for 2 vacancies, the tenure is 1 year. For the Power Sector Eastern Region of BHEL, there are 6 vacancies and for the Power Sector Western Region, there are total 6 vacancies.
For the post of Saftey Officer post, the candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical or Civil or Production with at least 60% marks for General and OBC and 50% marks for the SC/ST category. The candidates must have 1-year full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety from DGFASLI approved institutions namely Regional Labour Institute. The upper age limit to apply for the Posts in BHEL is 35 years. The upper age limit for the OBC NCL category is 38 years while for the SC/ST category candidates, the upper age limit is 40 years. For the PWD General Category, the upper age limit is relaxable by 10 years, 13 years for OBC NCL and 15 years for SC/ST.

The filling of the application form for the BHEL recruitment 2019 has started online on the official website on 23rd January 2019 and the last date to fill the application form is 11th February 2019. The last date for the receipt of the filled in and signed applications form is 18th February and for the far-flung areas, the last date is 25th February.
