Bihar Board is Out With New Pattern for BSEB 10th Board (Matric) Exam 2018 – Check Changes in Science, Maths & Social Science

The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has introduced the new pattern of for the matric examinations that will be held in the year 2018. The question paper with new exam pattern has been uploaded on the official website www.biharboard.ac.in for the BSEB Matriculation (Class 10) Examination 2018.

The BSEB president confirmed the change in the exam pattern for class 10 (Matric) and also mentioned that the targets have also been set up accordingly for the students. The aforesaid targets set up by the BSEB will be released online on the Bihar Board’s official website by November 15.

Talking about the subject wise changes in the BSEB Bihar Board Matric examination 2018, here are the subjects, marks allotment (question wise + total) and types of questions.

Social Science

Social Science will cover further subjects like economics, history, geography and disaster management. There will be 40 questions including the objective type questions and the single right answer of 1 point each. Such paper will be conducted via OMR sheet. Apart from this, there will be a total of 24 marks for short answer type questions. The candidates appearing on the BSEB Bihar Board Matric exam 2018 will be asked 18 questions in this category out of which answering 12 questions will be mandatory of 2 marks each. There will be long answer type question with 4 mandatory questions with 4 further sub questions each. The total score for the Social Science paper will be 100.

Mathematics / Elective High Mathematics

Mathematics and Electives High Mathematics of the BSEB Matric exam 2018 will be of total 100 marks including 50 objectives, single right answer question, conducted on the OMR sheet. There will be fixed points for 30 short answer type questions out of which there will be 15 mandatory questions of 2 points each. Also, there will be 12 long answer type out of which 4 questions with further sub-questions will be mandatory to answer.

Science

Coming to Science subject, which will have topics including Physics, Chemistry, biology will be of total 80 marks. The BSEB Matric exam for Science will constitute of 40 objective type questions, single correct answer, 24 short answer type questions, out of which 12 questions will be mandatory to answer.

Physics: This subject will have 13 objective type questions, 6 short answer type out of which 4 will be mandatory for 2 points each. There will be long answer type questions.

Chemistry: This subject will also have 13 objective type questions, which will include 6 short answer type questions out of which 4 will be mandatory and it will be 2 points each. Apart from this, there will be a long answer type question.

Biology: There will be total 14 questions on this subject. There will be 6 short type questions out of which 4 will mandatory to answer of 2 points each, followed by long answer type question.

Apart from these subjects including English, Hindi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Maithili, and Arabic will be of 100 marks each. They will have 50 objective type questions with 30 short answer type question and 20 long answer type questions.
