Bobby Deol will finally be seen in a major movie after a huge gap in Salman Khan starrer Race 3. The 50-year-old actor who has been pretty vocal about having no work anymore has finally landed a role that may revive his Bollywood career. He will be seen in Abbas-Mustan’s action franchise Race 3 along with Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandes. The third film in the franchise though won’t be directed by the white brothers Abbas-Mustan but by famous dance choreographer Remo D’suza. Bobby Deol has reportedly replaced Emraan Hashmi in the Race franchise. Conflicting reports also mention that Emraan Hashmi might not have been replaced in Race 3 and is being considered for an entirely different character.
Race 3 Actor Bobby Deol Has Not Been Able To Leave A Mark At The Audiences In The Past Years.
Bobby Deol has been seen in a number of films in the past years before Race 3 but they have failed to leave an impact on the audiences. Even films with bigger names like Thank You where an assemble cast of Sonam Kapoor, Akshay Kumar and Irfan Khan were present bombed at the box office.
The last memorable film by Bobby Deol before the Race 3 was Yamla Pagla Deewana and its sequel where he was seen along with his elder brother Sunny Deol and father Dharmendra. The film was a decent comedy but worked mainly due to nostalgia that the people wanted to see with the father son combo after DIllagi.
Bobby Deol’s latest venture before Race 3 banked on the same nostalgia where he worked with Sunny Deol along with Shreyas Talpade in Poster Boys. The film tanked at the box office and failed to bring in numbers.
Before Signing Race 3 Bobby Deol Has Tried His Hands At Other Careers:
Bobby Deol was recently seen trying his hand at DJing at a resort. The event was highly publicised and marked his debut as a DJ. He was booed by the crowd when he played a few numbers from his 90’s hit films. Social media made the incident as a content of their jokes and Race 3 star Bobby Deol was trolled for a long time. He owns multiple restaurants in Mumbai which bring him good business.
