Bollywood Star Designer & Exclusive Stylist of Salman Khan Ashley Rebello today felicitated the 2016 pass out brigade of young designers of INIFD Chandigarh. He gave awards to the INIFD “Young Achievers” and also felicitated “Student of the Year Award” to the students.
Winner of Stardust Award for Best Costume Design for Bollywood Blockbusters Salman Khan Starrer “Sultan”, enjoys the success of Blockbusters like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’. Star Designer and INIFD Mentor Ashley Rebello was here for INIFD Annual Convocation and he also conducted a workshop with students to teach the art of Fashion Design and gave his creative inputs for their Design portfolio. He shared the intricacies of his designs in his upcoming projects like ‘Tubelight’ & ‘Tiger Zinda Hai ’ with INIFD students.
Congratulating the young designers Star Designer Ashley said, “I have been visiting INIFD centres across India despite of my busy schedule and as a Mentor to the INIFD students, I am teaching the ‘Art of Designing’ to them. At INIFD Chandigarh, I am impressed with the immense talent in the design students”. He also congratulated INIFD for giving International platform to all the young aspiring designers who have established a mark at FASHION SCOUT during London Fashion Week for 2 consecutive seasons and got widely covered in British Vogue – The Bible of Fashion. He said, “It is a matter of pride not only for INIFD but for the whole Country. INIFD students have travelled the World Fashion Globe from Lakme Fashion Week to FASHION SCOUT during London Fashion Week”.
During the workshop Ashley Rebello shared with the finer intricacies of the glamorous world of Fashion Design with the students. INIFD had organized this exclusive designer workshop with Ashley Rebello to enable the students to seek his seasoned guidance and benefit from his personal experience. During this workshop, Ashley Rebello briefed the students about design industry, how to start their own venture, the intricacies of designing for Bollywood & Hollywood stars and also secret of his success. In this specialized workshop students were taken through the different stages of the Fashion Design process – draping & practical detailing. Ashley spoke on the fashion trends of today globally. He also give inputs on design industry’s trends in Bollywood, gave information about the materials trends, yarns, colours, fashion trends related to embellishments, accessories, etc.
The Designer Workshop of Ashley Rebello was a great learning experience for the INIFD students, which provided them with direct hands on experience of being a star designer. The design workshop also created awareness about the stylish and versatile upcoming fashion trends.
