Panchkula | Saketri, located about 20 km from Chandigarh has witnessed one of the most brutal murder case as a 30-year-old bouncer was shot 11 times in front of his mother. His mother was shocked and couldn’t do anything while her son was being shot outside the temple in Saketri.
The 30-year-old man identified as Amit Sharma aka Meet was shot 11 times outside a temple in Saketri. Amit Sharma, father of a 1.5-year daughter was leaving the temple with his mother when 2 people came in a Maruti Swift car and shot him 11 times. Roopa Rani, mother of Amit was shocked after witnessing the incident and said that there is a possibility that more people were sitting in the car.
How The Murder Happened in Panchkula
The eyewitness said that two men came outside the temple in Saketri and punctured tyres of Meet’s car. One of the two men was peeing against the wall when Meet was coming out from the temple with his mother. Both the men started firing at Meet from behind and ran away in a Swift car.
Meet was immediately rushed to PGI by his mother and other people present there where he was declared brought dead.
As per the witnesses, about 11 bullets were hit but the exact number would be clear once the postmortem reports are out. Meet was shot in the chest, back, left leg and abdomen.
Possible Reason Behind Meet’s Murder
Hundreds of bouncers gathered outside Meet’s house in Manimajra as soon as they got to know about the incident. As per sources, Meet had a rivalry against a group of bouncers because of leadership issues. The two groups were also involved in a firing incident at each other in Chandigarh and Mohali. Meet’s murder is said to be connected with the rivalry happened between the two groups.
After Meet’s mother gave a statement, a murder case, criminal conspiracy, offences under Arms Act has been lodged against Sonu Shah, Gagan and Surjeet. Sonu, Gagan and Surjeet were involved in a gang war with Meet in November last year at Mohali. A FIR has been registered and the police have started their investigation. The police said that a 9-mm revolver was used to kill Meet.
About Meet, the Man who was killed
Meet was the head of bouncers group in Chandigarh. He was in the bouncer’s profession since past 12 years. Meet was handling 3 clubs and used to provide bouncers to around 12 clubs. He was also involved in a firing incident in November last year at Mohali. The incident happened between two groups, one which was led by Meet and the other was led by Sonu Shah. The reason for the fight was that both the groups wanted to head the bouncer’s group.
Meet was currently out on bail as he was charged attempt-to-murder in the Mohali gang war happened last year.
The police have started their investigation and are viewing the CCTV footage of the areas nearby to the temple in Saketri. The police also recovered four bullet shells from outside the temple where Meet was shot.
