BSNL 1097 Plan or Reliance Jio 1699 Plan | Which One is Better & Why – Analysis

To take on Jio, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched a fresh new prepaid plan with the validity of one year. The state-run telecom operator BSNL has launched Plan 1097 for its users and this plan offers data and calling benefits. Interestingly, the 1097 plan of BSNL is launched just after the Reliance Jio launched the Plan 1699. Here are the difference details between the Jio 1699 Plan and BSNL 1097 plan.

Pricing & Availability of Plan: The BSNL latest prepaid plan is priced at Rs 1097. The telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched this new plan in Kolkata circle and as of now, there are no details regarding the launch of the plan in other circles of BSNL. On the other hand, the 1699 plan of Jio is available to all users across the country. All the plans of Jio are open market plans.

Though there is a difference in pricing of the plan but if you are comparing the plans in terms of Data benefits than the Jio 1699 plan is best but if you are comparing the plan in terms of Calling and Pricing then BSNL Plan 1097 is best. The plan of BSNL is best for the feature phone users. Jio network only runs on a 4G phone while BSNL can be run on any phone.

Data Usage: Moving to the data benefits, then in short, Jio Plan 1699 is worth buying as it offers 547 GB data in total for 365 days. The daily data usage limit in the Jio 1699 Plan is 1.5GB. On the other side, BSNL 1097 plan offers total 25GB data for the entire 365 days. So if looking for a yearly plan with daily data benefit then Jio 1699 plan is best.

Calling Benefits: Moving to the calling benefits than both the plans are equal. In the 1097 plan of BSNL and 1699 plan of Jio, the telecom operator offers unlimited free calling and this also includes roaming incoming and outgoing calls. The best part in the free calling is that there is no limit (daily or weekly). Users can call unlimited in these two plans.
