BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) state-run telecom firm has come up with a super bumper offer, 4GB data per day for 90 days at just INR 444. This offer is meant to directly take on Reliance Jio that offers just 1 GB or at max 2 GB data per day.
BSNL’s 444 data plan offer is a new recharge after their previously launched Rs. 333 which was known as Triple ACE plan. This offer will provide unlimited data at 4GB per day, at a recharge of Rs 444 with a validity of the offer being 90 days. STV is a special promotional offer, it can only be availed by prepaid users. The company claims got a ‘successful response’ for this offer.
BSNL 444 Data Plan
Special tariff voucher (STV) – 444 is a plan that offers unlimited data at 4GB per day with validity of 90 days. This plan is available with a recharge of INR 444. This is the highest per day data limit being offered by any telecom operator in the country. One gigabyte of 3G mobile data will cost less than a rupee, under this scheme which is the lowest in the telecom sector.

There was another offer launched by BSNL earlier called “Triple ACE”, priced at Rs. 333. Under this recharge, the telecom operator offered 3 GBs of data per day. Now BSNL 444 plan is 4GB data per day.
Reliance Jio 4G Offer
In India, telecom companies have resorted to aggressive data pricing, but thanks to Reliance Jio for its cheap data plans. Jio rolled out its services on September 1, 2016, and has already crossed 108 million user base. Jio’s ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ plan for its Prime members give 1GB and 2GB data per day at a recharge of Rs 309 and Rs 509 respectively.Recently, Reliance Jio is trying to woo its users by offering 20% more 4G data to those users who buy select smartphones of Lyf-brand. However, Jio is considered to be offering cheapest data tariffs in the country and hence BSNL is directly competing with Jio by offering 444 data plan.
Rivals to BSNL 444 plan
Rivals like Idea, Airtel and Vodafone have lowered their data tariffs as well. Idea recently unveiled a new plan that offers 70GB of 3G data at Rs 396. On the other hand- Vodafone has launched its Ramzan special offer that gives users unlimited calling at Rs 786 to its customers along with 25 GB data in select circles.
