BSNL Broadband plan 249 aka BB249 plan is a basic broadband plan of BSNL. In this plan, the telecom operator has made a revision in the FUP. The plan will now offer its users with 3 times more data per month with the speed of 8 Mbps. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has silently made this revision in this plan and it will be effective from 1st September. BSNL Broadband Plan 249 Details
The BSNL plan 249 for broadband users is an open market plan and it comes without an expiry date. As of now, only one change has been made in the plan and the change is the increase in the FUP. The plan will now offer 15GB data. Earlier the same plan only offers 5GB data per billing cycle. The plan is not only a data plan but it also offers free calling.
Up to the usage of 15GB data, users will enjoy 8 Mbps speed and after the usage of 15GB data, users will get a speed of 1 Mbps. There is no restriction on the data usage after the 15GB. In terms of calling, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is offering free unlimited voice calls to BSNL network. On the other networks, the free calling is only applicable in between 10:30 Pm to 6 AM daily. In the same plan, users can enjoy unlimited calling on Sunday on any network.
As said above the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Broadband plan 249 is applicable on the pan-India basis and users will have to deposit the security of Rs.500 at the time of installation. BSNL is also offering a yearly rental facility on this broadband plan. Under this offers, customers will have to pay Rs.2739 for one year which simply means the 11 months bill + one month free.
The advance bill payment is also available for 2 years at Rs.5,229 and Rs.7,470 for 3 years. Recently BSNL revised its broadband plan 699 and started offering 700GB data per month at the speed of 20 Mbps.
