BSNL Investing Rs. 13885 Crore to Start 4G Services in India Soon | Check All Details

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has cleared the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited plan of acquiring the 4G airwaves. BSNL is all set to launch the 4G services in India and have submitted the detail report of the project to get the 21000Mhz band to begin the 4G services. With the launch of BSNL 4G, the state-owned telecom operator will compete with the other telecom operator head to head. Here are the details regarding the BSNL 4G Launch in India

BSNL 4G Launching In India Soon

As per the reports of Telecomtalk, the spectrum’s of acquiring the 4G airwaves will cost Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited Rs 13885 crore. To get the deal done, BSNL was seeking Rs 6652 crore from the Government and for the rest amount, it will be generated from the revenue earned in the next ten years. According to IMG (inter-ministerial group’s), the Telecom Commission has increased the duration of the spectrum payment from 10 to 16 years.

This is the biggest benefit or the biggest relief for BSNL as the payment terms have been revised to 16 years annual installments. According to the Anupam Srivastava, BSNL Chairman, the DoT has accepted the proposal of allowing the 2100Mhz band to run the BSNL 4G services. Finally, the day is not far when all BSNL users will experience the 4G VoLTE services.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited will complete the whole process of launching BSNL 4G in the 80 days time frame. The telecom operator will launch the BSNL 4G services on the 2100Mhz band in the 21 LSAs (licensed service areas). The Rajasthan circle is not included on this as it has the airwaves in 800Mhz

BSNL Vs Other Telecom Operator

Now, soon the BSNL 4G services will launch in India and with the launch of the BSNL 4G, the serious competition between the telecom players will be seen. Looking at the current scenario, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is the only one which is offering extra benefits to its users and its benefits are much better than Jio. Recently BSNL launched the Extra Data offer in which 2GB extra data per day was offered on 10 plans.

Now from 16th September, BSNL Bumper Offer will go live and under this offer, users will get 2.2Gb data per day extra. But the only thing where BSNL is weak against other is the connectivity. It is currently providing 2G/3G services.
