BSNL Launches New Broadband Plans With 10Mbps Speed And Unlimited Data

BSNL broadband offers a variety of broadband plans, making sure there is something for everyone.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, BSNL has been facing tough competition from the mobile telecom operators who have been in a price war since the launch of Reliance JIO. The chaos has although benefited the customers and brought down the price of internet services in the entire country. Most of the telecoms offer a standard 1GB of 4G data per day or in some cases even more. Therefore the broadband services of all the operators including BSNL have taken a huge hit in terms of customer base.

Earlier the state owned telecom tried to lure in some customers with unlimited night time calling Mondays to Saturdays and full days on Sundays. Now BSNL has launched a clever broadband plan with 10Mbps speed and unlimited data.

BSNL Broadband New 10MBPS Plan

The new BSNL plan comes at a price of 1599 Rupees and offers unlimited data for an entire month. The maximum downloading and uploading speed of the plan is 10Mbps but there is a catch. The 1599 plan comes with a 10Mbps downloading speed till 70GB which then reduces to 2Mbps after that. BSNL does not offer any broadband plan as of now that comes with more than 2Mbps speed after the fair usage policy cap limit.

The new 1599 Rupees plan does make sense however if we take into consideration the fact that it also comes with unlimited calling anywhere in India 24 hours a day. With unlimited calling for whole day, BSNL has taken the same route as some other telecom operators like JIO and Airtel. Included in the monthly charge of 1599 Rupee, the state owned telecom operator is also offering one e-mail ID with 1GB of space. Do keep in mind that the 1599 Rupee price does not include taxes and that will be charged extra to your bill at the end of the month.

BSNL has some of the widest broadband plans to choose from

The new 1599 Rupee plan by BSNL broadband is aimed to target the lost customers that have started preferring the mobile internet services. In addition to this plan, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has a plethora of plan options assuring there is something for everyone. If you do not wish to use your phone for making calls, there is a similar plan worth 1495 Rupees which offers unlimited calling only during night hours and gets two e-mail IDs instead of one on the 1599 plan. The speed and FUP remains the same at 10Mbsp up to 70GB.
