Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited is all set to finally launch BSNL 4G services in the country this month. The services will be offered in selected circles initially and then expand to other areas at a later date. The state owned Telecom Company BSNL has proposed the government for giving it 5MHz of spectrum in the 2100MHz band in exchange for additional equity to them for offering pan India 4G services. BSNL 4G will help the company to compete with its rivals like JIO 4G, Airtel 4G and Vodafone 4G which are miles ahead in the game.
BSNL 4G Services Will Start Rolling From Kerala
The company has announced that the 5MHz of spectrum that they already own will be used to roll out BSNL 4G services in Kerala initially which will be followed by Orissa soon after. The plan is to offer the 4G services in areas first where the 3G coverage is already low. Reports suggest that after Kerala and Orissa, BSNL will start rolling out 4G services to areas of Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Chennai too is one of the cities rumoured to be in the pipeline for the first phase of rollout but we do not know of a certain launch date as of now. The Telecom Company will be looking to launch the BSNL 4G services to all its customers in all the markets soon which have been in a state of chaos after the launch of Reliance Jio 4G services.
Ahead of BSNL 4G Launch, The Company Has Tweaked Its Recharge Plans
As the BSNL 4G launch nears, the company has made a lot of changes to their recharge plans. As a result the 444 Rupees Recharge is now gone and the 333 Rupee recharge has been replaced. These were two of the most popular recharge plans that people went for which offered 4GB and 3GB of data per day respectively. The Rupees 333 recharge now gives you the standard 1GB of data that too for only 41 days.
The 3GB data per day is on offer but now comes with a validity of only 26 days and is priced at 339 Rupees. BSNL 4G 186 Rupee recharge will entitle you for 1GB of data per day for 28 days and is the most affordable recharge plan of all. Yearly packs ranging from 1498 all the way up to 4498 Rupees are also available with a variety of data and calling benefits.
