CBSE Revises Passing Marks Criteria for 2018 Board Exams | Check Minimum Required

CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 pass marks criteria has been revised for candidates. Releasing an official notification on the official website of the education board pertaining to the exams, details are mentioned here. The upcoming CBSE Class 10th Board Exams in March 2018 pass marks criteria has been revised by the board this time.

CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 Passing Criteria Revised – Official Notification Details

As per the recent update available on the official CBSE board website online, the pass marks criteria for students has been modified this year. Central Board of Secondary Education as an efficient conducting body of the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams every year has uploaded the notification online.

The revised norm for passing criteria for CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 is done as per the last meeting of the board on Feb 16th. The circular was released by CBSE yesterday i.e. on February 27, 2018 just a week prior to holding the tests.

CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 are commencing from March 5th and the revised pass marks criteria is made available for students to perform in the tests accordingly. The board has specified that the norm is valid only for students appearing for CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 for this year only.

CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 Pass Marks – No Separate Criteria This Time

The board of education has introduced an overall minimum pass percentage to be secured by the candidates in the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018. Earlier, separate pass marks had to be obtained by candidates in the internal assessment and theory part by CBSE board.

Aggregating the same to achieve an overall score in both the areas combined in CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018, the revised passing criteria by the board has been issued for this years’ test in March. Candidates are now exempted from ensuring separate pass marks in exam components.

They shall have to maintain an overall pass percentage of 33% out of 100 in the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018. As far as validation is concerned, the norm holds true for this year only. Also, CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018 revised passing criteria is available for only 5 main subjects. There is no such criteria valid for vocational subjects in the CBSE Class 10th Board Exams 2018.
