CBSE Paper Leak 2018 | Class 10 Maths Re-Exam Date Out for July – All You Need to Know

After the shocking case of CBSE Class 10 paper leak, the board has finally taken a decision on the re-exam to be held for 2018 Class 10 exam. As Police is still making raids on coaching centres and is even trying to get to the source from where the exam was leaked, CBSE board has announced that the 10th Class Maths exam will be held in July 2018. The date in July has not been decided yet.

As events unrolled after the news of CBSE class 10 Maths exam leak, the board quickly cancelled the exam. Students were left unhappy with the development. The government swung into action and a lot of protests went underway. Students and parents who were affected by the cancellation of the exam took to protests and requested their respective school principals to take up the matter with CBSE board.

However as the case unfolded, it has come to the notice that the paper was leaked only in 2 states of India i.e. Delhi and Haryana.

CBSE Maths Class 10 Re-exam only in Delhi & Haryana

As per news reports on NDTV, it has been said that CBSE will conduct re-test of Class 10 Maths exam 2018 only for 2 regions. These 2 regions where the exam will be re-conducted are Delhi and Haryana.

Addressing a press conference, Union Education Secretary Anil Swarup said that a preliminary enquiry has revealed that the leak for CBSE 2018 Class 10 maths paper happened only in Delhi and Haryana. he further added that in case a re-exam For Maths Class 10 exam will happen, it will only happen in Delhi and Haryana. A final decision on this development will, however, be taken in this in next 15 days. The date for the exam will be in July.

Students in other parts of India can feel a bit relaxed by this CBSE announcement. However, this is a result of the initial enquiry by CBI. The case may further take turns and the outcome may be different. But, as of now, it has been made clear by CBSE board that the 2018 board exam for Class 10 Maths subject will only be cancelled and held again in Delhi and Haryana. It is assumed that the result for Delhi and Haryana students will be delayed and the final result will be out only after Maths Class 10 re-exam is held and gets evaluated.
