Chandigarh | 16 Year Old Boy Commits Suicide by Hanging Himself

The death toll in Chandigarh by commiting suicide within the vicinity of victims’ residence has doubled this year. Many who couldn’t cope up with their stress and peer pressures of life are finding suicide, as an option to deal with it and it is absolutely wrong.

Recently, a 16-year-old boy in Chandigarh has ended his life by committing suicide at his residence. The boy was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. The deceased worked as a helper at a tyre shop at Mani Majra and was a resident of Burail, Sector 45, Chandigarh.

How did he commit suicide at Chandigarh

As per the police, the boy who is identified as Laadi, was alone at home when the incident took place. At around 1 pm when his sister came back home she found the door of the house locked from inside. When, after knocking, nobody opened the door, she became sceptical. She then peeped into the house from the window and found her brother hanging from the ceiling fan. She went to her neighbours in Sector 45 Chandigarh informing about the incident, who then came to her help. They broke into the room of the house and informed police about the incident.

Further investigation in the case

The boy was then taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where doctors declared him brought dead. The case has been registered at the Police Station of sector 34 and further investigation in the suicide case have been initiated. The victim has not left any suicide note behind but some of friends and neighbors mentioned that he was very upset from two three days and that is why he did not go to work in Manimajra, Chandigarh on the day when he committed suicide.

The victim’s body is at the hospital for the post mortem. Deceased’s father is a painter and has two more kids (an elder daughter and a youger son) other than him. The family is in a great shock and could not the bear with the loss.

A mere decision of suicide may end up the life of the one who is committing it but leaves the entire family behind in a situation of tyranny and misery. One should always think about his / her parents and loved ones before thinking of the extreme step about committing suicide.

Be brave and try to deal with your stress and anxiety and think towards leading a happier life than ending it.
