Chandigarh | Number of Seats for B.Com in DAV College & SD College Increased From This Session

Two of the best colleges of Chandigarh- DAV and SD College has increased the number of seats for BCom Part 1 admission 2017. Private colleges of Chandigarh that are affiliated to Panjab University will now have a centralised admission from 2017 session. Although the admission process for session 2017 has been started in Chandigarh colleges.

DAV College and GGDSD College have increased the number of seats in BCom-I course from this session. Earlier number of seat in both the colleges were in between 210 to 280, but from 2017 it has increased to 350 each.

Important dates for BCom admission 2017

Admission process for the intake of new students in colleges for the session 2017 has been started in the city. And PU has initiated a centralised admission for all the colleges of Chandigarh that are affiliated to the University. Students can go through the link- http://bcomadmissions.puchd.ac.in/.

  • Last date for online registration for BCom-I admission 2017 in Chandigarh- 14 June.
  • Last date for fee submission- 16 June 2017.
  • Complete application form with the required document should reach University Business School, Room 5 of Arts Block III by 30 June 2017.
  • Merit list will be out by 25 June (tentative date).
  • Counselling schedule will be out on 27 June 2017 and final merit list will be uploaded on June 28.

Students can raise objection against the merit list (if any) in between 25-26 June for the admission of BCom part 1 for the session 2017 in Chandigarh.

DAV, SD and other colleges- No. of BCom seats 2017

Although DAV and SD College of Chandigarh have increased its number of seats for 2017 admission in BCom, there are many colleges in the city whose seats remain the same as earlier. Check out the no. of seats offered by each college in the city for 2017 BCom admission.

  • GGDSD College, Sector 32- 350 seats
  • MCM DAV College for Women, Sector 36- 280 seats
  • Dev Samaj College, Sector 45- 140 seats
  • GCCBA, Sector 42- 140 seats
  • SGGSC, Sector 26- 280 seats
  • PGGC, Sector 46- 140 seats
  • Department of Evening Studies, PU- 70 seats

Most of the Government Colleges in Chandigarh has remained with the same number of intake in BCom course for the year 2017. PGGCG Sector 11 and 42 have 140 seats each, whereas GGSCW offers 280 no. of seats for BCom admission 2017.
