Chandigarh Boys Join ICC World Cup Team for Under 19 Matches | And Its a Proud Moment

It’s time to cheer for Chandigarh as 2 players have joined the ICC World Cup 2018 U-19 team. Players from the City beautiful- Chandigarh has been aiming high by joining the Indian Cricket Team. Shubman Gill & Arshdeep Singh from Chandigarh have got the golden opportunity to represent for Indian Cricket team in U-19 World Cup 2018. After playing for Ranji trophy from Punjab, both of them are all set for the Under 19 ICC World Cup.

Earlier this week, Sidharth Kaul from Chandigarh has been selected for India-Sri-Lanka Cricket matches. And now, its time for more celebration as 2 other players of the city have made it to the Indian Cricket team for the U-19 World Cup 2018.

After Sidharth Kaul, Chandigarh Boys to enter ICC U-19 World Cup 2018

After Sidharth Kaul being selected for Team India for the India-Sri Lanka Cricket Matches, Shubman Gill & Arshdeep Singh of Chandigarh has made it to the ICC U-19 World Cup Team. Not just playing for the matches, but Shubman Gill will be leading the Indian team as Vice-Captain for the U-19 World Cup starting from January 2018 in New Zealand.

A resident of Mohali (Near to Chandigarh), Lakhwinder Singh & Kirat Gill’s son Shubman Gill will now lead Team India as Vice Captain for U-19 World Cup to be held in New Zealand. Whereas Arshdeep Singh a left-arm medium pacer, son of Darshan Singh & Baljit Kaur a resident of Kharar will also be the part of ICC U-19 WC 2018.

Here are the achievements of Chandigarh players joining ICC World Cup U-19 Indian Team

Chandigarh boy Shubman Gill has been awarded as the fourth youngest player of Punjab to hit the first-class century in Ranji Trophy. Even he has also bagged best BCCI U-16 cricketer award for 2014-15 & 2015-16. In the year 2014, he made a partnership world record of 587 runs in Punjab U-16 tournament.

On the other hand a student of Sector 32 (Chandigarh) SD College, Arshdeep Singh has started playing cricket at the age of 5. And in Vinno Mankad Trophy at GNPS School, Sector 36 he took over 13 wickets for Punjab. Even in Inter-District ODI Championship this year he took over 19 wickets in 5 matches for the city beautiful Chandigarh.
