Chandigarh | Man Held for Stalking a Woman & Throwing Acid

Chandigarh’s crime rate has been becoming an issue of worry day by day. Chandigarh Police should impose strict punishments on the assaulters so that no one dares to commit a crime.  In a recent incident, Chandigarh police have arrested a 34-year-old man for stalking and threatening a woman. He also threw acid on the woman’s activa.

We have seen acid throwing incidents in the past and the reason why this man threw acid on the woman will make you feel angry. The woman had turned down the 34-year-old man’s marriage proposal. and hence he took this lame step.

Man Threw Acid On The Woman’s 2-Wheeler

Jatinder Singh, a 34-year-old man threw acid on the woman’s two-wheeler. The acid was thrown on the 2-wheeler and casualties were reported. The 34-year-old Jatinder is a resident of Mohali’s Phase-XI. 

Police said that the woman’s two-wheeler was parked outside her house on Tuesday night in Sector 39 Chandigarh. The two-wheeler which got damaged due to the acid will be sent for forensic examination to CFSL in Sector 36 Chandigarh. The police have registered a case against Jatinder Singh at the Sector 39 Chandigarh police station.

Jatinder Singh was remanded in one-day police custody on Wednesday. Jatinder used to work with his father in a small scale industry in Chandigarh. He had been in the UK since past two years and had returned to India last year. Jatinder Singh’s family and the woman’s family know each other very well.

Jatinder Singh Started Harassing The Woman

The police interrogated Jatinder Singh and he said that he had thrown a paint remover on the woman’s two-wheeler. However, the police have refused to trust his statement. As per the sources, Jatinder was under the influenec of liquor on Tuesday night when the police arrested him.

The woman’s family said that Jatinder had been proposing their daughter for marriage since past one year but their daughter turned down Jatinder’s proposals. Jatinder also started chasing their daughter and started stalking her on phone. Her parents said that she had blocked Jatinder’s mobile phone number but he managed to arrange her office colleagues number and started harassing her.
