The list of ranking was released last month, Chandigarh’s Panjab University has shared the place with Tezpur University in Assam, Kolkata’s Jadavpur University and Pune- based Savitribai Phule University. Other than these Hyderabad’s Osmania University is ranked #800 along with the Andhra University of Vishakapatnam among the top 1000 global universities. The teaching methodology, research, and citation, income form the industry and the outlook for international activities are the five broader perspectives on which these Indian universities got ranked. PU very well fit into these parameters of selection and with the cooperation of the teacher, students and the administration has been ranked 601 in the Times Higher Education Top 1000 global rankings 2018.
