Chandigarh Rose Fest 2019: The Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh has decided to eliminate all the cultural events going to be held on 23 February 2019 and has dedicated the Chandigarh rose fest 2019 to the martyred CRPF soldiers in a terrorist bomb attack at Pulwama. The annual fest will be the 47th rose festival which is going to take place on the main stage of Rose Garden Chandigarh.
A conference was held in the department of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, where comprehensive conversations were held in which it was commonly decided that the whole festival will be dedicated to the Nation and Patriotism and all the cultural events would be cancelled on this day.

Municipal Corporation Chandigarh has also decided to organize various traditional competitions for the children which will include kite flying competition, display of photography competition (in tricolor only), Rose Prince and Princess competition, Rose quiz competition, spot painting competition and many more. Also, it is decided that the Patriot songs and instrumental performances will be a part of this event in which songs and dance performances on patriotic songs are also involved. These dance performances will be dedicated to the brave soldiers of India who gave their lives to the nation in order to protect it.
The money which is going to be saved through these cultural events and traditional competitions will be will be dedicated to the families of Martyrs of CRPF jawans who were killed during Pulwama suicidal bomb attack lead by the terrorists.
How the Incident happened In Pulwama
This was a suicide bomb attack on the CRPF soldiers in which terrorists exploded their vehicle into their truck which resulted in a big explosion in which 40 CRPF brave soldiers were killed on the spot. The material used for the explosion was RDX and it was found that there was approximately 60 KG RDX used for the blast.
After this incident, our entire nation is sad in order to help them the martyred soldiers many Bollywood stars as well as the government has taken a step forward and are helping the families of the CRPF jawans in every possible way. Be it by organizing cultural and traditional events, by donating money to their families and in many more ways. Chandigarh MC has also decided to pay tribute to the soldier by dedicating the Chandigarh Rose Festival 2019 to the brave hearts.
